Location Data

JonyMate and ParkFlow may access and collect precise or approximate location data from your Android device when you grant location permission and use a feature that requires location services.

When Location Data Is Collected

  • When you grant foreground or background location permission.
  • When an authorised driver starts an active trip.
  • When parcel tracking, live journey monitoring, route monitoring, trip history, or proof-of-delivery features are being used.

Background location is used only during an active trip started by an authorised driver. Location collection begins after the driver starts the trip and stops when the trip is ended, tracking is disabled, or the required location permission is withdrawn. ParkFlow does not intentionally collect background location outside an active trip.

How We Use Location Data

  • To provide live vehicle and journey tracking.
  • To monitor active trips and improve passenger safety.
  • To support parcel tracking and delivery operations.
  • To record GPS-based proof of delivery.
  • To maintain trip history, operational records, and journey analytics.
  • To investigate safety incidents, delivery disputes, or service misuse.

Location Permissions

Foreground LocationUsed while the app is open for location-dependent trip, tracking, and delivery features.
Background LocationUsed only to continue tracking an authorised driver's active trip when the app is minimised, the screen is locked, or another app is in use.

Location Sharing

Location data may be made available only to the registered transport company, authorised administrators, authorised operations staff, contracted service providers that support app functionality, or law enforcement and regulators where disclosure is required by law. We do not sell or rent location data and do not use it for advertising or marketing.

Storage, Retention, and Your Choices

Location records are stored securely and retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for trip operations, safety, delivery verification, dispute resolution, reporting, legal compliance, and security. You may deny or withdraw location permission through your device settings, stop collection by ending an active trip, or contact us to request access to or deletion of eligible personal data. Disabling location permission may prevent certain tracking, trip, and proof-of-delivery features from functioning correctly.

Important: ParkFlow collects background location only during an active trip started by an authorised driver. Location collection stops when the trip ends and is not used for advertising or marketing.

How We Use Your Data

  • To operate live trip tracking, parcel tracking, journey monitoring, and GPS-based proof of delivery where enabled.
  • To respond to customer inquiries and investigate safety, delivery, or account issues.

  • To comply with legal obligations.

Data Retention

Comments and related metadata may be retained indefinitely.

Registered users may view, edit, or request deletion of their personal information, except where data must be retained for legal, security, or administrative reasons.
